What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place in your browser when you visit them. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in between visits, and understand how you interact with the platform. Cookies do not contain viruses or harmful code — they are simple data files your browser stores locally.
Acefre uses cookies to provide a secure, personalised, and performant experience for students, runners, and admins across Nigerian campuses.
Cookie Categories
We group the cookies we use into four categories based on their purpose.
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled.
- Authentication tokens — keep you securely logged in
- CSRF protection tokens — prevent cross-site request forgery attacks
- Session management — maintain your active session
- Security cookies — detect and prevent fraudulent activity
