Terms of Use
Last updated: June 28, 2026
Welcome to Acefre. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Acefre platform, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using Acefre, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before you begin.
Important: Acefre is a marketplace platform — not an employer. We connect customers who need errands completed with independent runners who fulfill them. Acefre does not employ runners and is not a party to any service agreement between customers and runners.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Acefre Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your ongoing acceptance of any updates or modifications to these Terms.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Customer," or "Runner") and Acefre Technologies Ltd ("Acefre," "we," "us," or "our").
Eligibility
To use the Acefre Platform, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- a.Age: You must be at least 18 years of age. By using Acefre, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. Acefre reserves the right to request proof of age at any time and to terminate accounts found to belong to minors.
- b.Residency: You must be a resident of Nigeria or a registered institution within Nigeria. Acefre currently operates exclusively within the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- c.Valid Identification: You must possess a valid government-issued identification document (National ID Card, Driver's License, International Passport, or Student ID from a recognized Nigerian institution). Runners are additionally required to complete our identity verification process before accepting tasks.
- d.Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Nigerian law. Persons who have been previously banned or suspended from Acefre are not eligible to register.
Account Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your Acefre account and all activities that occur under it. By registering, you agree to:
Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during registration and keep it updated at all times. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate termination.
Keep your login credentials confidential. Never share your password with anyone. Notify us immediately at legal@acefre.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Each person may hold only one Acefre account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, exploit promotions, or manipulate the system is strictly prohibited.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or allow any third party to access your account on your behalf.
You are liable for all actions taken through your account, whether or not authorized by you. Acefre will not be held responsible for losses arising from unauthorized account access due to your failure to maintain credential security.
Verification
Identity verification is mandatory for all Runners before they can accept tasks on the Platform.
Acefre requires runners to complete a verification process to ensure the safety, trust, and integrity of our marketplace. Verification involves submitting a valid government-issued ID and completing any additional checks required by Acefre at its discretion.
Customers may also be required to verify their identity in certain circumstances, including but not limited to: high-value task payments, withdrawal requests, or when flagged by our fraud detection systems.
Providing false or fraudulent documents during verification is a criminal offense under Nigerian law and will result in immediate permanent account termination and a report to the relevant authorities.
Acceptable Use
Acefre is designed for legitimate, lawful errand and task completion services within Nigerian university and urban communities. Acceptable uses include:
- ✓Requesting or fulfilling food delivery, grocery shopping, document pickup/drop-off, and courier services
- ✓Arranging legitimate printing, photocopying, or binding of personal documents
- ✓Requesting and providing household errand services, queuing on behalf, bill payments at physical locations
- ✓Booking and completing any task that is legal under applicable Nigerian federal and state laws
- ✓Using the Platform's payment, escrow, and wallet features for legitimate transactions
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Acefre Platform. Violation will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination, and may be reported to law enforcement.
Requesting or fulfilling any task that violates Nigerian federal, state, or local laws or regulations.
Purchasing, transporting, delivering, or facilitating the acquisition of weapons, firearms, ammunition, or military equipment.
Transporting, purchasing, or delivering illegal drugs, narcotics, or any controlled substances not authorized by law.
Purchasing, transporting, or distributing counterfeit, pirated, or fraudulently marked goods.
Engaging in harassment, intimidation, threats, hate speech, or any form of abusive conduct toward other users, runners, or Acefre staff.
Requesting or offering any form of adult, sexual, or escort services. The Platform is a professional service marketplace.
Requesting or completing academic assignments, exams, coursework, or any work intended to misrepresent a student's own academic effort. This includes exam cheating facilitation.
Attempting to deceive other users, manipulate reviews, create false accounts, or misrepresent the nature of tasks or identities.
Using the Platform to launder money, process illegal funds, or circumvent financial regulations.
Transporting hazardous materials, explosives, flammable substances, or biohazardous items.
Soliciting or accepting payments outside of the Acefre Platform for tasks arranged through Acefre. All transactions must go through our escrow system.
Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or manipulate the Platform's systems, algorithms, or data.
Task Posting Rules
Customers posting tasks on the Platform must comply with the following rules:
- a.Accurate Descriptions: All task descriptions must be truthful, complete, and not misleading. You must clearly describe what is required so runners can make an informed decision.
- b.Real Locations: All pickup, delivery, or task locations must be real, accessible, and accurately specified. Providing false locations is prohibited.
- c.Lawful Requests Only: You must not post tasks that involve illegal activities, prohibited items, or any conduct that violates these Terms.
- d.Respectful Communication: Communicate with runners in a respectful and professional manner. Abusive, threatening, or demeaning communication is grounds for account suspension.
- e.Platform Payments Only: All payments for tasks posted on Acefre must be made exclusively through the Acefre Platform. Attempting to pay runners directly or outside the Platform circumvents our safety and escrow protections and is prohibited.
- f.Fund Availability: You must ensure sufficient funds are available in your wallet or payment method before posting a task. Tasks may be unpublished if payment cannot be confirmed.
Runner Rules
Runners must adhere to the following standards when operating on the Platform:
- a.Complete Accepted Tasks: Once a runner accepts a task, they are committed to completing it to the best of their ability. Repeatedly abandoning accepted tasks without valid reason will result in account penalties.
- b.Respect Deadlines: Runners must complete tasks within the agreed timeframe. If a delay is unavoidable, the customer must be notified promptly through the Platform.
- c.Professionalism: Runners must behave professionally and courteously in all interactions with customers, third parties, and Acefre staff.
- d.No Off-Platform Payments: Runners must not solicit or accept payment outside of the Acefre Platform for any task arranged through Acefre. Doing so forfeits escrow protections and constitutes a breach of these Terms.
- e.Customer Privacy: Runners must protect all personal information about customers obtained during task fulfillment. Customer data must not be shared, sold, or used for any purpose beyond completing the task.
- f.Legal Compliance: Runners must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws during task fulfillment, including traffic laws, public order laws, and health and safety regulations.
- g.Honest Reporting: Runners must accurately report task completion status. Falsely marking a task as complete is fraudulent and grounds for immediate termination.
Note: Runners are independent service providers, not employees of Acefre. Runners are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with all applicable laws.
Marketplace Rules
All users — customers and runners — must participate in the Acefre marketplace fairly and in good faith. The following marketplace conduct rules apply to all users:
- a.Fair Conduct: Users must engage honestly and fairly with one another. Price manipulation, bid rigging, coordinated abuse of the system, or any attempt to game the marketplace is prohibited.
- b.No Manipulation: Users must not attempt to artificially inflate or deflate ratings, create fake tasks, engage in fake completions, or manipulate any platform metric.
- c.No Collusion: Coordinating with other users to deceive the platform, inflate earnings, or harm other users is strictly prohibited.
- d.Respectful Community: All users are expected to contribute to a respectful, safe, and professional community environment.
Escrow Rules
Acefre holds all task payments in escrow until the task is confirmed complete. Funds are not released to runners until task completion is verified.
When a customer posts a task, the agreed payment amount is held in escrow by Acefre. This protects both parties:
- a.Funds Held: Payment is locked in escrow once a runner accepts the task. The customer cannot withdraw these funds while the task is active.
- b.Release on Completion: Funds are released to the runner after the customer confirms task completion, or automatically after the confirmation window expires without a dispute.
- c.Dispute Hold: If a dispute is raised, funds remain in escrow until the dispute is resolved by Acefre's resolution team.
- d.Cancellation: If a task is cancelled before a runner accepts it, or under conditions specified in our refund policy, funds are returned to the customer.
Wallet Rules
The Acefre Wallet is an in-platform balance used for task payments, earnings, and promotions. The following rules govern its use:
- a.Funding: Wallets may be funded via bank transfer, card payment, or other methods supported by Acefre. All deposits must come from accounts or cards in your own name.
- b.Withdrawals: Runners may withdraw their earnings to a verified Nigerian bank account. Withdrawals are subject to minimum thresholds, processing times, and any applicable fees disclosed at the time of withdrawal. Acefre reserves the right to delay withdrawals if fraud is suspected.
- c.Failed Payments: If a payment fails due to insufficient funds, invalid card, or bank error, the associated task may be cancelled. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method is valid and funded.
- d.Chargebacks: Initiating a fraudulent chargeback for services that were legitimately rendered is prohibited and constitutes fraud. Acefre will contest all fraudulent chargebacks and may suspend or terminate accounts involved.
- e.Promotional Credits: Promotional credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be converted to cash. They may only be used for task payments and expire as indicated at the time of issuance. Acefre reserves the right to modify or revoke promotional credits at any time.
- f.Dormant Wallets: Acefre reserves the right to apply inactivity fees or expire wallet balances on accounts that have been dormant for extended periods, subject to advance notice.
Payment Rules
All payments for tasks arranged through the Acefre Platform must be processed exclusively through the Acefre Platform. No exceptions.
Acefre charges a service fee on transactions, which is disclosed prior to task confirmation. This fee covers platform maintenance, customer support, escrow services, fraud protection, and dispute resolution.
- a.All prices displayed on the Platform are in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
- b.Acefre's service fees are subject to change with reasonable notice to users.
- c.Users who circumvent platform payments lose all protections including escrow, dispute resolution, and fraud coverage.
Refunds
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
- a.Task Not Accepted: If no runner accepts your task and it expires, the full task amount is automatically returned to your wallet.
- b.Task Cancelled Before Acceptance: Customers may cancel a task before a runner accepts it for a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees.
- c.Runner Cancellation: If a runner cancels after accepting a task, the customer receives a full refund of the escrowed amount.
- d.Dispute Resolution: Refunds resulting from resolved disputes will be processed according to our dispute resolution outcomes. Decisions are at Acefre's discretion based on evidence provided.
- e.Timeline: Approved refunds are typically credited to your Acefre wallet within 1–3 business days. Bank transfers may take 3–7 business days depending on your financial institution.
No Refunds After Completion: Once a customer confirms task completion or the auto-confirmation window expires, the payment is final and non-refundable, except in cases of verified fraud.
Disputes
If a task is not completed to your satisfaction, or a disagreement arises between a customer and runner, you may raise a dispute through the Acefre Platform. Our dispute resolution process is designed to be fair, transparent, and timely.
- a.Raising a Dispute: Disputes must be raised within 24 hours of the task's expected completion. Late disputes may not be eligible for review.
- b.Evidence: Both parties will be given an opportunity to submit evidence (photos, messages, timestamps). Acefre's decision will be based on the evidence provided.
- c.Resolution Timeline: Acefre aims to resolve disputes within 3–5 business days of receiving all required evidence.
- d.Finality: Acefre's dispute resolution decisions are final within the platform context. Users who disagree may seek remedies under applicable Nigerian law.
- e.Abuse of Disputes: Filing false or malicious disputes is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Ratings & Reviews
Acefre's rating system is designed to build trust and accountability. After every completed task, both customers and runners may rate their experience.
- a.Honest Ratings: All ratings and reviews must be honest and reflect your genuine experience. Fake, exaggerated, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited.
- b.No Manipulation: Attempting to coerce another user into giving a positive rating, offering incentives for positive reviews, or coordinating to inflate or deflate ratings is prohibited.
- c.Review Removal: Acefre reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms, contain personal information, or are determined to be fraudulent.
- d.Account Impact: Consistently low ratings may result in account restrictions or removal from the Platform at Acefre's discretion.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, technology, and materials on the Acefre Platform — including but not limited to the Acefre name, logo, brand identity, website design, software, databases, algorithms, and documentation — are the exclusive intellectual property of Acefre Technologies Ltd and are protected under applicable Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

- a.Violation of any provision of these Terms of Use
- b.Engaging in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful conduct on or off the Platform
- c.Providing false information during registration or verification
- d.Repeated poor performance, unacceptable ratings, or abandonment of accepted tasks (runners)
- e.At Acefre's sole discretion, for any reason Acefre deems necessary to protect users, the Platform, or the public
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases. Any pending escrow amounts will be handled according to the circumstances of termination. Wallet balances may be subject to a review period before release. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — will continue to apply.
Fraud Prevention
Acefre has zero tolerance for fraud in any form. Fraudulent activity will result in immediate permanent termination and may be reported to Nigerian law enforcement.
Acefre employs advanced fraud detection technology and human review processes to identify and prevent fraudulent activity on the Platform. All users are subject to monitoring for suspicious activity.
Fraud includes but is not limited to: false task completion claims, fake accounts, identity fraud, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, coordinated manipulation schemes, and any other dishonest conduct intended to gain an unfair advantage or financial benefit.
If you suspect fraud on the Platform, report it immediately to legal@acefre.com. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly.
